Gourmet E-Liquids

gourmet liquid flavoursE-Liquids are what make vaping enjoyable, and vapers collect atomisers and devices purely with the intent of enjoying their e-liquid even more. Therefore, it is no wonder that it has become ever-more important to craft the perfect e-liquid. In the earliest days of vaping, there were far fewer flavours and while they were enjoyable, they were pretty basic. However today there are countless more options, with an impressive selection that embraces everything from standard tobacco or fruit flavours right up to dessert or cocktail flavoured varieties. There are several companies in the industry today that sell “gourmet” ranges of e-liquids which offer carefully balanced, exotic and complex flavours with impressive descriptions. Some e-juices are also phenomenally expensive, sometimes costing up to $37.50 per 30ml. So, how good can a gourmet e-juice really be?

Gourmet E-Liquid – what is it and how much does it cost?

For any new vaper, the best advice is to try as many different kinds of e-juice as possible. While there are many budget e-liquids produced by Chinese companies (the numbers running into tens or hundreds of flavours with a variety of VG to PG ratios and varying strengths of nicotine), none of these lower priced options can offer “Gourmet” flavours. A “Gourmet” flavour is one which is a sophisticated blend that offers something out of the ordinary. While most people can mix standard flavourings with VG and PG, a gourmet e-juice is something above and beyond. To make these select flavours, companies opt for pharmaceutical grade ingredients, employ mixologists and mix the e-liquids just before shipping for maximum freshness. This makes the process a lot more expensive, hence the higher price tag. However, as most vapers expect gourmet flavours to cost more, many companies inflate the price even further and when this happens, the product becomes grossly overpriced, especially as it is not too different from an ordinary $5 for 10 ml bottle.

Regular And Gourmet E-Liquid Comparison

gourmet e juicesWhen we refer to most e-liquid brands as “ordinary”, this does not necessarily mean that they are not of excellent quality. Instead, it is a statement about the range of products available from the vendor – flavors such as blueberry, vanilla cupcake or cookies and cream may be interesting, but they are most definitely no-frills products. Some Gourmet e-liquid manufacturers offer a “menu” of flavors which comprise choices such as champagne and strawberries and apple bourbon tobacco. Blending combinations of unusual flavors, these “menus” are a lot more exotic than you would expect from an “ordinary” vendor. The descriptions themselves are also very different, with a much more fanciful tone and more colorful language. A further thing which separates an ordinary e-juice from a gourmet e-liquid is the process of creating the flavor itself. The process of mixing a gourmet flavor is more refined as they are attempting to offer the buyer a vaping experience that is akin to a culinary masterpiece. Part of this dedication to high quality is the care taken in crafting these flavors, with the manufacturers opting for USP grade ingredients as well as natural flavorings and a guarantee to the buyer that no artificial colorings or diacetyl is used in their creation.
